Answer: Regardless of the service you pick you will receive the finished résumé in MS-Word and PDF formats (all formats needed for a complete search) plus a finished cover letter in MS-Word format. The only service not offered with the résumé tweak is the extensive interview by Dr. Jerry or Dr. Swisher. The MS-Word and PDF formats can be modified at any time – so you do not need to pay additional dollars when your changes are minor. The firm also includes a URL where you can easily secure a PDF version of any modified document without additional cost.
7. What is the cost for the service?
Answer: The firm offers only 4 services (#1: A new résumé and cover letter for someone unemployed – currently $149; #2 A new résumé and cover letter for someone seeking a non-leadership or non-management position – currently $199; #3: A new résumé and cover letter for someone seeking a leadership or management opportunity – current $299 (currently offered on a two for one price); and #4: Various types of services as discussed with either Dr. Jerry or Dr. Swisher (e.g., cover letter only, editing or tweaking of your own document, requests for admission, editing of other documents) – are priced in advance of the work commencing and the fee is dependent on a reasonable opinion of the time needed to complete the project. If the assignment takes less time that budgeted, the firm refunds any overpayment and if the assignment takes more time than budgeted, the firm does not charge extra.
8. May I purchase this service as a gift?
Answer: It is a fairly common practice for a parent, friend, or spouse to purchase a service from the firm as a gift to a friend, family member, or co-worker. Once you have determined the amount, please send the firm an email to let them know the name and contact information of the party getting the gift. You can also wait until Dr. Jerry or Dr. Swisher makes contact with you and then provide the name of the lucky party.
9. What forms of payment are accepted by the firm?
Answer: The firm uses PayPal (owned by E-bay) as it’s e-commerce processor and this firm accepts all credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCP, as well as cash and debit cards, checks, (all non-credit card transactions result in a processing delay as determined by PayPal). At the present time all e-commerce costs (e.g., PayPal fees and etc. are fully paid by the firm and are back charged only to a client that requests a refund before work commences).
10. What is the firm’s policy on refunds?
Answer: If you change your mind before any work has commenced, then the firm will, without delay, refund the full purchase amount. Since the funds in the firm’s PayPal account are wired daily to a business bank account and, from time to time, the firm must make the refund via a business check – in such cases, the refund can take fro 3 to 4 business days to arrive. Once work has started and/or a draft has been transmitted then, as with most professional organizations, no refund is possible and the policy regarding a guarantee is: “If, after 30 days of using your new resume, you are not 100% satisfied, the firm will rewrite the resume–without hassle.“ So long as conversations remain civil, Dr. Jerry or Dr. Swisher will do whatever they can, without any additional charge, to develop a résumé or CV that the client can feel confident sending out to potential employers. From time to time, clients are given advice from respected sources about certain elements that might be added to improve the document. Dr. Jerry and Dr. Swisher talk with professionals on a daily basis and often includes changes requested by clients or other professionals.
